200th Anniversary Celebration

The Town of Yates 200th anniversary committee (Jim Simon, Susan Hrovat, Dawn Metty, Brad Bentley, Kelly Cousins, Cindy Grabowski, Ginny Hughes, Russ Martino, Georgette Stockman, Joanne Suhr, Tom Wenhold, Katie Whipple and Valerie Wells) is proud to announce the three main bicentennial events for this year:
A Grand Finale Lake Fair
Saturday, September 24th - 1pm - 9pm
Yates Town Park
- Formal Ceremony: 1pm - 2pm
- Posting of Colors, National Anthem
- Keynote Speaker and Distinguished Guests Citations
- God Bless America
- Ribbon cutting of park
- Cut birthday cake
- 2:30pm - Live music begins
- 2pm - 9pm: Food trucks

A Family Fair
Sunday, July 3rd - 12:30 - 4:30pm
Yates Community Library
- Historical artifacts in Town Hall – docents, display cases (Noon - 5pm)
- Ice Cream social - Free! (12:30 until the ice cream is gone!)
- Children's games - Bounce house, face painting, sidewalk chalking (12:30-2:30)
- Lyndonville School District student band opening song, area churches sing popular songs (12:30-1:30)
- Barbershop Quartet (2-3)
- Use Library grounds, parking lot and grassy areas - bring your favorite folding chair!
A Street Fair
Friday, August 19th - 5pm - 9pm
Downtown Lyndonville
- Lyndonville farmer's market plus additional food trucks
- Live and DJ'd music
- Civil War encampment (Patterson Park)
- Lynhaven Cemetery Tours (6pm & 7pm - meet at flagpole)
- Multiple craft vendors
