The Lyndonville Joint Fire District will be holding a public hearing on the preliminary budget for the year 2023 on the 19th day of October 2022 at 6:00pm at the Lyndonville Fire Hall, 148 North Main Street, Lyndonville, NY.
All persons interested therein may attend and be heard. A copy of the preliminary budget is available at the Town of Yates Clerk's Office.

The organizational meeting of the Lyndonville Joint Fire District will be held on the 14th day of October 2022 at 5:00pm at the Village Hall, 2 South Main Street, Lyndonville, NY.
The regular meeting of the Joint Fire District will follow immediately thereafter at the same location.

Grand Finale Lake Fair Celebrating Town of Yates' 200th Anniversary!
On Saturday, September 24th, the Town of Yates will celebrate its bicentennial with the last of its three fairs - the "Grand Finale Lake Fair." The event will be from 1pm-6pm at the Yates Town Park at the northern terminus of Morrison Rd on Lake Ontario, and will be free admission to all.

Second of Three Fairs Celebrating Town of Yates' 200th Anniversary!
On Friday, August 19th, the Town of Yates will celebrate its bicentennial with the second of its three fairs, dubbed by committee coordinator Joanne Suhr as, "A Street Fair." The event, 5pm-9pm on Main Street in Lyndonville between Maple and Eagle Streets, will be free admission to all.

The Town and Village are in the process of discussing dissolving the current fire district and forming a new district owned by the fire company with elected fire commissioners.

Eleven Petitioners File Appeal with Supreme Court Appellate Division Against NY State Office of Renewable Energy Siting Regulations
On August 2, 2022, eleven petitioners filed an appeal against the NY State Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) regarding the drafting and implementation of regulations, standards and conditions for siting industrial-scale wind and solar facilities under the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act.
