Chairperson Sue Forder called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:00PM, at the Yates Town Hall, 8 South Main Street, Lyndonville, New York 14098.

MINUTES:
Mr.
Oakes is asking for a 15ft. side setback variance.
Mr. Oakes wants to build a pole barn.
Chairperson
Sue Forder and ZBA members Donna Bane and Paul Lauze went down to check the
property.
Mr. Oakes has the property marked
out where he wants to build the pole barn.
It
was mentioned whose property it was next to Mr. Oakes and where the right away
was to that property.
The
Area Variance Findings & Decision paper was filled out.

following notice was placed in the Medina Journal Register on March 19, 2012.
PLEASE
TAKE NOTICE; there will be a Public Hearing held on March 29, 2012 at 7:30 pm
at the Yates Town Hall, 8 South Main Street, Lyndonville, New York 14098. The purpose of the public hearing is for an
Area Variance, Application # 02-2012, submitted by Jeff Oakes at 11695 Alps Rd.
Lyndonville, New York 14098 for a 15 ft. Side SetbackVariance. This application may be reviewed at the
Office of the Town Clerk, 8 South Main Street, Lyndonville, NY 14098 during
regular business hours.
All
persons wishing to be heard shall be heard at this time. Correspondence may be made in person at the
Public Hearing or by letter to the Town of Yates Zoning Board of Appeals.
This
is Application # 02-2012 for Jeff Oakes requesting a 15 ft. Side Setback Variance.
Mr. Oakes wants to build a pole barn.
Mr.
Oakes explained where he wants the pole barn to be. He said that if he were to move the barn out
any further, it would obstruct the view from his window.
Mr.
Oakes stated Shirley Heideman owns the property to the east of him and that it
is land locked. Mr. Oakes owns the land
on both sides of her property.
The right away to Mrs. Heideman’s
property is through Patricia Wells’s property.

Sue Forder asked the Zoning Board if they had any questions.
There were no questions.

Chairperson Sue Forder decided to abstain from
voting. It is a conflict of interest.
